In a city that used to be the capital of the United States—and is now the capital of the great state of Maryland—it’s only natural that there’s always a lot going on, day and night.
If you’re a sports fan, there’s lots to see on both land and water—at the college level and with our local professional teams. If you’re here at the end of April, don’t miss seeing the Naval Academy take on St. John’s College in their annual croquet battle. Summer brings sailboat races and baseball games with our two nearby Major League Baseball teams, the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Nationals. And the fall, of course, is all about Ravens and Redskins football.
If a little nightlife is what you’re after, there’s plenty to do after hours too. Our local oyster bars should be at the top of your list. But if you feel like staying close to ‘home,’ you can always settle in at BAROAK, our on-site restaurant and taproom, serving mussels & frites with a twist and an inspired selection of international and local craft brews.
