  • As the highest paved road in North America, Mount Evans rises to a height of 14,130 feet above sea level. The views are breathtaking. Alpine lakes, massive granite walls and stands of twisted, ancient bristlecone pine can be enjoyed. Keep your eyes peeled for mountain goats and bighorn sheep.  You can see Mount Evans from your guestroom when reserving a mountain view room with us!
  • More beer is brewed in Denver than in any other American city. On any given day, there are more than 100 beers that are made and sold only in Denver. Not only is the Mile High City home to the world's largest single brewery (MillerCoors Brewery), but it also has the nation's largest brewpub (The Wynkoop), the highest number of home brewers and is host to the Great American Beer Festival, the brewing industry's most prestigious event of the year, known as the "Super Bowl" of beer.  Enjoy a Denver microbrew on tap in the T-Bar located on the lobby level of the hotel.
  • The centerpieces of the Colorado Rockies are the 54 peaks over 14,000 feet, or “Fourteeners,” as they are affectionately referred to by climbers. Colorado’s Fourteeners are now visited by over 500,000 people each season.  The tallest Fourteener is Grays Peak towering 14,270 feet tall.
  • Denver is home to many sports teams and is part of a select group of only 13 U.S. cities with teams from four major sports (Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Colorado Avalanche and the Denver Nuggets).  Soccer, Lacrosse, and Rugby are popular with the Denver fan base as well.  Infinity Park, home of the Glendale Raptors Rugby team, is located only 793 steps away from front door of the Loews Denver Hotel.
  • Denver stands 5,280 feet above sea level allowing our city to be known as the "Mile High City."
  • The Denver Performing Arts Complex (DPAC) is the largest arts complex in the world featuring ten performance spaces connected by an 80-foot-tall glass roof. DPAC is a four-block, 12-acre site that is home to a Tony Award-winning theatre company, Broadway touring productions, contemporary dance and ballet, magnificent chorales, a major symphony orchestra, internationally-acclaimed opera and more.
  • Metro Denver is situated on the high plains at the base of the Rocky Mountains. Moderate temperatures, low levels of humidity, and abundant sunshine provide an ideal climate for year-round activities. Metro Denver has 300 sunny days a year – more annual days of sunshine than either San Diego or Miami Beach.
