Getting Around

For nine months, in 1783 – 1784, Annapolis was our country's capital. But that’s not the only defining characteristic of this 350-year-old city. Known as the "sailboat capital," this second-largest estuary in the world boasts more boats than the city has people. Annapolis also is home to the oldest U.S. legislative building continuously in use and the country's third-oldest college. A city this charming has many artistic and cultural offerings as well. But that is just the starting point for all that Annapolis has to offer.
