400th Anniversary Celebration

Starting December 31st 2007, Québec City will celebrate its 400th anniversary for the whole year. Join the citizens as they wish the city a happy birthday with loads of festivities. Featured events include official ceremonies by dignitaries from across Canada and throughout the world, urban and poetic productions, and a giant picnic. Québec city Summer Festival

For the past 41 years, this festival has been drawing crowds with its unique holiday atmosphere. For 11 days the city is transformed into a giant outdoor stage where hundreds of performers show off their talents at some 10 venues in and around Old Québec City, all within easy walking distance.

New France Festival

It was in Québec City in 1608 that the whole adventure of New France began. And every summer for the past 12 years, the New France Festival has been celebrating the arrival of the first Europeans on American soil. It's the perfect opportunity to dress up in period costumes and take a trip back in time right in the heart of Old Québec.

PENTATHLON DES NEIGES

With the largest outdoor skating rink every created on the Plains of Abraham, the Pentathlon des neiges is one of the many events highlighting Quebec’s 400th anniversary. Loews Le Concorde is the event’s official hotel.
