Information on New Orleans Sports Teams

Known as the "Sportsman's Paradise" because of its temperate climate, New Orleans will appeal to the most enthusiastic sports fan.

Crescent City is home to the World Champion New Orleans' Saints Football team and the New Orleans' Hornets Basketball Team. The Saints play at the Louisiana Superdome located 9 blocks from the Loews New Orleans hotel and the New Orleans Hornets play at the New Orleans Arena that is located 9 blocks from the hotel. The PGA Zurich Classic is held In April at the TPC of Louisiana Course. The Crescent City Classic road race is run in the city Easter Saturday. New Orleans will also host The NCAA Men's Final Four in 2012, the 2013 NFL SuperBowl, the 2013 NCAA Women's Final Four, and 2011 Bassmaster Classic. Multiple other New Orleans sporting events take place in the city throughout the year including Zephers baseball, Tulane and UNO college sports, road races and horse racing.
