Some of Quebec City's most renowned annual cultural events include the Winter Carnival, International Summer Festival, Military Music Festival, New France Festival. Theaters include the Grand Théatre de Québec, Capitole de Québec, Palais Montcalm, Salle Albert-Rousseau. Quebec City also hosts the Quebec Opera, the Quebec Symphony Orchestra and Les Violons du Roy.
Quebec Symphony Orchestra
Enjoy classical music with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, the oldest symphonic orchestra in Canada, featuring internationally renowned musicians, opera signers and maestros. Performs at Grand Théâtre de Québec.
Quebec City gives you the opportunity to discover old-world charm unique in North America. Quebec National Museum of Fine Arts
The Musée’s main purpose is to showcase the diversity of Québec art from the 17th century to the present. To do so, the museum regularly displays its collection of more than 27, 000 artworks and objects and hosts major exhibitions featuring art from around the world.
Musée de la Civilisation
This museum is characterized by its innovative and daring outlook. Ten exhibitions are held simultaneously on a 6,000-square-meter surface. The regular programming is based on three permanent exhibitions, leaving a large space for temporary exhibitions, whose diversity are a testimony to the turmoil of today's world.
Musée des Augustines
The Augustines museum and convent is a patrimonial jewel located in the heart of Quebec (32 Charlevoix Street) is, testifies of the hospital mission of a founding community.
Grand Théâtre de Québec
Le Grand Théâtre de Québec is an artistic and cultural complex featuring concerts of Quebec Symphony & Quebec Opera and several other artists. Theater and dance are also featured.
Palais Montcalm
With his exceptional acoustics, this concert hall is the home of Les Violons du Roy – Quebec City’s premier violin ensemble.
Capitole
Grand old-style Theater situated in Place d’Youville. It features musicals and several artists of international caliber.
Salle Albert-Rousseau
A theater with a capacity of 1348 places, situated in Sainte-Foy, features a variety of shows from concerts to ballet to humor.
L’impérial
L'Impérial de Québec is an historical theater located on the St-Joseph Street. This theater can accommodate 416 guest and they feature popular music.
Théâtre du Petit-Champlain
A theater with 230 places situated at the bottom of the cliff in the Petit Champlain districté. This place specializes in concerts, but it also presents theater in summer season.
