Events at Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel
Chefs at Loews Ventana Canyon are offering guests and locals alike an education in cooking with ingredients found in many Tucson residents’ backyards.
The culinary series, which features once-per-month cooking classes May through August, gives attendees the opportunity to harvest native ingredients from the resort property and get a hands-on lesson in how to use them in their own home cooking from some of the region’s best chefs.
Upcoming classes include:
July 5 at 2 p.m.
Attendees will harvest mesquite and learn how to whip up creative mesquite appetizers with Executive Chef Ken Harvey.
August 30 at 2 p.m.
Prickly pear fruit
Attendees will harvest prickly pear with the resort culinary team and get a lesson in prickly pear cocktails with on-site mixologists and BBQ specialties with Executive Chef Ken Harvey.
Cost to attend each class is $25 per person. Approximately 25 spots are available for each class and may be reserved by calling the concierge at (520) 299 – 2020 ext. 5107.
