Events at Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel

An inspirational introduction to the organization, the fall fundraiser focuses on the women in the program and includes readings, music and a reflection from founder
Becca Stevens. The event is free in order to be welcoming to new friends and encourage diversity. At the end of the evening, guests are given an opportunity to make pledges or a one-time donation. In the spirit of gratitude and good stewardship, we work to cover expenses through sponsorships and in kind gifts. Music always plays a central role in the event, with at least one song including Magdalene residents in the chorus. Previous musical guests have included John Prine, Gretchen Peters, Ashley Cleveland, Amy Grant, Matraca Berg, Marshall Chapman and Big Kenny among others.
With the desire to share the stories of the women with a larger audience on Nashville's most treasured stage, this year's event will be at the historic Ryman Auditorium. Jeff Hanna of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has already graciously agreed to sing "Will the Circle Be Unbroken?" with the women in the program. We are looking forward to a celebratory evening that will further widen the circle of Magdalene and Thistle Farms. Conference attendees are invited to join us for this special evening
