Nashville Activities Guide

Premier Leisure Travel Destination

At Loews Vanderbilt Hotel, our staff has great "insider's tips" for you to make your stay in Music City truly memorable.  Please see our Concierge for our weekly Nashville guide,  "In The Know", with the latest, up-to-date information on daily Nashville activities and events.

Here's a sample of our unique attractions to experience when you travel to Nashville:

Elliston Place Soda Shop
Excellent “meat & three!” If you're looking to cut down on cholesterol, go somewhere else; this '50s diner only serves the real stuff.

Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack
Some like it hot, and at Prince's, it's "beads-of-sweat-forming-on-the-brows-of-grown-men" hot. Inside, booths seat about 20 people and straw fans adorn the walls. There are four heat levels: mild is for those who like "spicy" food; for the neophyte, medium induces sweating; hot is a quasi-religious experience and extra-hot is fine if you have no plans for the next 12 hours. Sides of beans, slaw and potato salad are tasty heat extinguishers.

Loveless Café
Serving Southern comfort fare to MusicCity's guests and locals with a charming country flair. Located at the Northern terminus of the Natchez Trace Parkway, this legendary haunt is a blend of successful tourist hot spot and local favorite.

NashTrash Tours
Hop on the Big Pink Bus for an unconventional--and hilarious--tour of MusicCity. The NashTrash Tour is a musical-comedy extravaganza hosted by The Jugg Sisters, Sheri Lynn and Brenda Kay, onboard the Big Pink Bus. Between musical numbers, bawdy jokes and makeup advice, the Juggs dish dirt on Nashville's most famous residents. Tours begin at the Farmers' Market downtown.

Grayline’s Nashville Unpublished
Is a downtown walking tour that includes a behind the scenes tour of the Ryman Auditorium and stories never heard before on a Nashville sightseeing tour.
