Events at Loews Ventana Canyon - Tucson
Chefs at Loews Ventana Canyon are offering guests and locals alike an education in cooking with ingredients found in many Tucson residents’ backyards.
The culinary series, which features once-per-month cooking classes May through August, gives attendees the opportunity to harvest native ingredients from the resort property and get a hands-on lesson in how to use them in their own home cooking from some of the region’s best chefs.
Upcoming classes include:
July 5 at 2 p.m.
Attendees will harvest mesquite and learn how to whip up creative mesquite appetizers with Executive Chef Ken Harvey.
August 30 at 2 p.m.
Prickly pear fruit
Attendees will harvest prickly pear with the resort culinary team and get a lesson in prickly pear cocktails with on-site mixologists and BBQ specialties with Executive Chef Ken Harvey.
