Events at Loews Ventana Canyon - Tucson
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual fundraising event to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. Participants raise funds for lifesaving research and patient services and, on this special night, they carry illuminated balloons to show support. This is a casual fundraising walk with no fitness requirements and no registration fees. Walkers who raise at least $100 are honored as "Champions for Cures" and will receive a walk t-shirt, food and beverages, and an illuminated balloon: red balloons for supporters, white for cancer survivors and gold in memory of a lost loved one. Plus, live music, kids' activities, a bone marrow drive and a remembrance ceremony. The night of the Walk, Wildhorse Saloon is offering 2 different $5 drink specials and 1/2 off door admission to walkers wearing their Light The Night t-shirts. The Light the Night Walk will be held in LP Field's parking lots G & M. Registration begins at 5:30 pm, opening ceremony at 7 pm and the walk starts at 7:30 pm. The two-mile walk begins and ends near the north entrance of LP Field. A fireworks show will "light the night" and end the event.
