Boston Public Library
The Boston Public Library was built in 1848 and was the first free publicly supported municipal library in America and the first public library to lend a book and the first with a children's room. It holds more than 650,000 photographs, 100,000 prints and 250 different papers in the “Newspaper Room.”
New England Aquarium
Gaze upon over 7,000 fish and aquatic mammals, including penguins, giant turtles, barracudas, stingrays and sharks. Watch as scuba divers feed the sharks and fish several times and get up close and personal with sea stars, sea urchins and horseshoe crabs in the tide pool.
