Silver Strand Beach
About the Beach
Located directly across the street from Loews Coronado Bay Resort is Silver Strand State Beach. Stroll along one of the top 10 beaches in the world. Known for its preservation of sea life and interesting plant life, Silver Strand State Beach is home to sand dollars, snowy plovers and grunions. It is also the area’s finest recreation destination where visitors and locals can enjoy camping, swimming, surfing, boating, water-skiing and volleyball, just to name a few.
Silver Strand State Beach is a 5-minute walk from the hotel entrance. A pedestrian underpass allows guests access to this beautiful beach. Our bellman or valet attendants can also bring guests to and from the beach in our resort golf carts. During the summer a golf cart shuttle runs continuously throughout the day. Our staff sets up complimentary beach chairs and towels for guests, along with boogie boards.
