Window Walk Nature Trail
For beautiful Tucson sightseeing, stroll the resort's own ½ mile paved nature trail and learn the wonders of the Sonoran Desert. Over 200 signs line the trail and identify the plants and animals indigenous to the area. On your way around the trail, don't miss the 80-foot waterfall that flows into a babbling brook that joins the major water feature on the golf course. Finish the educational tour with a stop in our custom butterfly garden, complete with all the plants necessary for the full life cycle of a butterfly and a trickling water feature fit for our fluttering friends.  Join us for a guided tour on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9am.

Koi Pond
Feed the Fish at our Soothing Koi Pond surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the grounds of Loews Ventana Canyon.

The sky is the limit with the resort’s own telescope and a University of Arizona astronomy professional, who will guide you through stars, planets and galaxies. Contact the hotel for weekly schedule.

Parcourse Fitness Trail
This 1.1 mile guided walk or run offers an excellent opportunity to explore the natural desert environment.  Throughout the scenic course which runs in front of the hotel and adjacent to the beautiful Ventana Canyon Golf Courses, guests have the opportunity to visit 18 exercise stations.


In Southern Arizona, you can marvel at the wonders of nature, from colorful desert flowers to flawless starlit skies, from majestic saguaros to snow covered mountains.   Experience the beauty of the cultural Southwest, rich in tradition and proud heritage as showcased in the many museums, art galleries, and cultural centers.

Choose from several hiking routes at Sabino Canyon.   Drive or cycle up the 25-mile steep Catalina Highway and arrive at over 9,000 feet in elevation at Mt. Lemmon.  Visit the DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun, a magical place for adobe architecture, original paintings, murals, ceramics and sculptures.  Take a tour at Kartchner Caverns, a stunning “live limestone cave with unique mineral formations.
