Welcome to Apothecary Bar & Lounge at Loews Minneapolis Hotel. Our bar, restaurant, 20-seat Library and chef’s table specializes in small shareable plates, handcrafted cocktails, local microbrews and Build Your Own Old Fashioneds.
The name Apothecary recalls the earliest days of the cocktail when barflies would excuse their excessive boozing by claiming the bitters and tinctures in their brandy worked medical wonders.
With The Old Fashioned enjoyed a resurgence in popularity, Apothecary’s mixologists are on hand to guide patrons through the process of “building their own potion,” with various combinations of spirits, mixing liquors, bitters and syrups. As well as this focus on one of the oldest, most enduring cocktails in history, Apothecary features a return to the classic cocktail, local spirits and craft beer.
To complement your drink of choice, Executive Chef Timothy Fischer, a native of the Twin Cities, presents his culinary favorites including house-cured meats and regional cheeses. Prepare your palate for small bites, shareable plates, charcuterie and fun events like local beer and burger tastings.
Open at 11 AM, serving lunch and dinner, plus appetizers late into the evening.
If you’re a champagne or wine lover, you don’t have to go far in search of the perfect drop. Relevé—our unique lounge specializing in expertly crafted champagne cocktails plus glasses and bottles of the sparkling stuff—is located right here on the fourth floor of Loews Minneapolis. Relevé’s range of champagnes and sparkling wines includes glass pours, small bottles and magnums. Guests can even play mixologist by selecting their own blend of bitters, liqueurs, and purées for their own custom cocktail.
Relevé offers a menu of small plates, designed to pair with your drink of choice. Classic champagne accompaniments such as oysters and pâté share space on the menu with more approachable options like truffled popcorn and lobster grilled cheese.
