Introducing the “Locals Only” cocktail, a fiery, locally sourced beverage served up in BarBelle’s picturesque, oceanfront setting. Born out of the collaboration of two native sons, the “Locals Only” features small-batch ingredients with their own distinctive Mexican-Angeleno flavor.
Start with Angelisco Blanco Tequila, a uniquely LA take on the tequila traditions of Jalisco, Mexico, made right here by master microdistiller Ben Molina. Then comes the real kick. Oscar Ochoa of LA-based El Machete Chilli Sauce lends a trio of habanero, mango, and pineapple sauces — each evocative of Mexico’s rich history and representative of Los Angeles’ thriving food culture — to balance out the strong with spicy and sweet. Finish with white peach and fresh lime for a perfectly balanced, one-of-a-kind creation that could only come from here.
