Just in case you needed a reminder, July is National Ice Cream Month…  Thankfully no reminder is needed at our Loews Hotels & Resorts’ restaurants — chefs from each of our destinations crafted a special ice cream dessert for their menus this month.  Take a look at all of the delicious desserts & drinks and let us know which is your favorite on our Facebook Fan Vote.  Warning: extreme craving for ice cream may immediately ensue upon browsing the array of sweet treats.  

Since it is a summer Friday and we’re counting down until the official start of the weekend, we thought we’d share several ice cream-based cocktail recipes.  Impress your friends at the next ‘Book Club’ rendezvous or jazz up the typical beverage selection at your backyard BBQ with the recipes created by Loews Atlanta, Loews Hollywood and Loews Madison.

I’ve Got a Confection Martini : Loews Atlanta

Ingredients:

Method:

    1. Rim martini glass in rainbow nonpareils
    2. Combine two parts Three Olives Cake Vodka with one part white chocolate syrup and Half and Half
    3. Shake vigorously and strain into martini glass
    4. Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream and top with a maraschino cherry
    5. Served with a sidecar of hand-crafted vanilla ice cream created by Pastry Chef John Bell

“Berry-More” Champagne Float : Loews Hollywood

Ingredients:

Method:

    1. Scoop Ice Cream into the middle of the glass.
    2. Arrange the halved Strawberry on top.
    3. Drizzle with the Balsamic Syrup, and grind fresh Black Pepper over.
    4. Gently float the Sparkling White Wine in the glass and serve.
