Authentic experiences inspire the modern traveler. We enjoy venturing the roads less frequented, supporting local businesses and relishing in cultural aesthetics. Flavor is the word Loews Hotels has chosen to embrace this concept in hotels coast to coast, with innovative food and beverage experiences tailored by the best food and drink artisans in each destination.

What does this mean for Music City? Loews Vanderbilt is serving up the best of Nashville’s local flavor right within the walls of the hotel. Whether on business or traveling for leisure, guests can taste Nashville’s homegrown flair without ever stepping foot off property.

Charles Phillips, Director of Food & Beverage, says it best:

“While Nashville is known for its music scene, the recent explosion of talent in our culinary community has put the city on the map. Our Flavor partners exemplify Nashville’s creative and entrepreneurial spirit. By aligning with these local brands, we offer our guests a chance to experience our local community within the walls of our property before heading out to explore the destination.”

Frothy Monkey

Start your day with Frothy Monkey Coffee, a staple in Nashville’s community since 2004. This coffeehouse was not only one of the city’s industry pioneers, but one of the cornerstone businesses which helped transform the 12th South neighborhood. Fortunately, you don’t have to travel to one of their locations to experience the good. Frothy Monkey Coffee is served exclusively at the hotel’s brand new POD Organic Market, which also offers organic snacks and healthy grab-and-go options for breakfast and lunch.

Pennington Distilling Co.

Talk about giving back. The husband-and-wife duo behind this artisan distillery source all grain used in fermentation from local Tennessee farmers and they donate all post-distilling leftovers to help feed (some really lucky) local farm animals.

Have a pick-me-up of your own at Mason Bar and enjoy monthly “Craft on Draft” cocktails featuring various Pennington Distilling spirits, including Whisper Creek Tennessee Sipping Cream and Pickers Vodka.

Yazoo Brewing Company

Founded by Linus Hall, the Yazoo story started with a homebrewing kit purchased from the back page of Rolling Stone in 1993. Linus began building his empire in 2003 by selling his kegs to local bars and restaurants and capturing the hearts of locals. The proclaimed “Little Brewery That Could” continues to grow in popularity.

Grab a seat at Mason Bar and enjoy a seasonally rotating pairing menu featuring four Yazoo draft selections, three savory small plates and a dessert. The menu will also feature two menu items incorporating Yazoo brew — collard greens cooked in an IPA and a chocolate cake made with a Yazoo Porter.

Check in thirsty and prepare to be refreshed. It’s time for the unique flavors of Music City to take center stage!
