Super Bowl Fan Events in Minneapolis

We're so excited that Minneapolis is the host city for Super Bowl LII, which will take place at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday, February 4. There’s been a lot of excitement leading up to the big game, and now it is only a few weeks away! To ensure that you make the most of the Super Bowl experience and don’t miss all the events downtown at Super Bowl LIVE Presented By Verizon, we've compiled a rundown of the best fan events in town.

Super Bowl LIVE

Super Bowl LIVE Presented By Verizon is a huge ten-day festival taking place on Nicollet Mall between 6th Street and 12th Street from Friday, January 26–Sunday, February 4. It is free and open to the public. Super Bowl LIVE boasts a variety of events and entertainment options and has something for everyone. Whether you plan on enjoying a concert, catching a national broadcast live, or celebrating Minnesota’s rich culture and history, you’ll want to mark your calendars now.

Super Bowl LIVE Presented By Verizon will feature a plethora of live concerts with local and national acts. Minnesota music legends Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis have signed on to help recruit talent that will showcase the Minnesota Sound. Featured concerts include Soul Asylum, Sounds of Blackness, Mint Condition, Stokley Williams, Cobi, New Power Soul, Vocal Essence, The Suburbs, Sheila E., New Power Generation, The Jayhawks, Bob Mould (of Husker DU), Esera Tualo, The Jets, and The Steeles. The concerts will be held on the Verizon Up Stage at Super Bowl LIVE.

Nicollet Mall

Super Bowl LII will feature the most urban campus in Super Bowl history, with several major fan activations within a one-mile radius in downtown Minneapolis. Super Bowl LIVE presented by Verizon will stretch six blocks of Nicollet Mall and is a short walking distance to Super Bowl Experience Driven by Genesis at the Minneapolis Convention Center and U.S. Bank Stadium.

Sports fan won’t want to miss ESPN from IDS Crystal Court, where you can stop by the ESPN broadcast and see your favorite sports reporters counting down to the big game. ESPN’s anticipated program lineup includes daily editions of SportsCenter and NFL Live as well as the Super Bowl Sunday edition of Postseason NFL Countdown with former Vikings wide receiver and Pro Football Hall of Fame nominee Randy Moss and fellow commentators Matt Hasselbeck, Chris Mortensen, Sam Ponder, Louis Riddick, Rex Ryan, Adam Schefter and Charles Woodson.

Be sure to snap a picture at the Snow Globes. There will be Bold North photo opportunities including snow globes, ice jerseys, and ice sculptures.  Drum Down the Sun is another not-to-be-missed activity. It is a nightly ceremony to kick off the festivities honoring Native American culture in Minnesota.

Super Bowl Experience

In addition to the free Super Bowl LIVE Presented By Verizon, the Super Bowl Experience Driven by Genesis is “pro football’s interactive theme park," offering fans a unique chance to get involved in the festivities surrounding Super Bowl LII, via interactive games, youth football clinics, merchandise from NFL Shop presented by Visa, player autograph sessions and more.

Super Bowl Experience will be held in the heart of downtown Minneapolis at the Minneapolis Convention Center. It is open to the public from Saturday, January 27 to Saturday, February 3. Tickets are required for admission.

Fans can test their football skills, view live game action using virtual reality technology, get a photo with the most prestigious trophy in sports, the Vince Lombardi Trophy, and participate in a range of other football-themed experiences.
