Magical Dining Month at Universal Orlando Resort

It’s that time of year again! And no I don’t mean the holidays — not yet anyway. This time of year is every foodie’s dream, thanks to Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining Month, which celebrates the amazing local culinary scene.

Participating restaurants around the Orlando area offer a three-course, prix-fixe dinner for just $35. Like I said, a foodie’s dream! With so many options to choose from, I wanted to give you a taste of what you can enjoy during Magical Dining Month while vacationing at Universal Orlando Resort.

A Slice Of Cake On A Plate

Loews Portofino Bay Hotel

If you’re anything like me and Italian food is your favorite, then Mama Della’s Ristorante is the place for you! While all the entrées are delicious Italian classics, I recommend the Veal Cutlet Parmesan. The veal is pan-fried to perfection and the spicy marinara takes the flavor of this dish to a new level. But of course, no Italian meal is complete without homemade Tiramisu and the one at Mama Della’s is truly out of this world. The flavors of cocoa, coffee and soft mascarpone will leave you wanting more.

At Islands Dining Room, the feel of the islands is all around you, from the restaurant décor to the distinctive menu items. I suggest starting with the Korean Hot Wings, which are tender and have just the right amount of heat. For your entrée, the Spicy Ahi Tuna is the way to go! This dish is light yet so flavorful with edamame puree and sweet chili lime vinaigrette. I promise it won’t disappoint!

Amatista Cookhouse brings the Caribbean flavors directly to you, which is exactly what the chefs did with the Grilled Atlantic Salmon. It is delightfully fresh and pairs nicely with the lemon vegetable quinoa. Since this is a Caribbean-style resort, I had to try the Rum Cake for dessert and let me tell you, it was so worth it! The vanilla cake is soaked with spiced rum and coffee, then topped with crispy pecans and served with a scoop of house-churned vanilla bean ice cream. Yum!

A Plate Of Food With Broccoli

Hard Rock Hotel Orlando

The Kitchen at Hard Rock Hotel Orlando has great options on their menu as well, but if you have to choose just one, the Grilled Adobo Pork Chop will blow your taste buds away! This dish is paired with red pepper and bacon potato hash… need we say more? Don’t forget to save room for dessert, because the Goat Cheese Cheesecake is heavenly. The pastry chef topped this dessert with figs, raspberries and pistachio covered chocolate.

Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining Month ends September 30th and I hope you will get to try one or all of them during a visit to Universal Orlando Resort before then. Your taste buds will thank you!
