Jensen’s Old Fashioned Smokehouse
Grand Central Baking Company
This family baking business started as a roadside stand in the 1960s and has since risen to local fame in both Portland and Seattle. Local ingredients are key; you’ll taste sustainable Washington State grains and wheat in the range of artisan and specialty breads. Its claim to fame: the Como loaf, a signature Italian-style hearth read with a golden crust and chewy interior. Here at Loews Hotel 1000 you can try another hot commodity – Grand Central’s pumpernickel bread, used in our restaurant’s Smoked Salmon Rillettes.
Meet a roaster with a bigger purpose. Storyville’s mission is to end human trafficking, and a portion of its proceeds goes to the cause. Feel good about drinking that morning cup – and also relish the fact that they use only the highest quality beans from a sustainable farm. You won’t have a hard time finding a Storyville shop; there are three in Seattle. But the easiest way to get your fix is right here at All Water Seafood & Oyster Bar, where their specialty espresso drinks are served.
