What's On in Montréal

Throughout the year, Montréal plays host to a wide variety of festivals and other fun things to do. For those who believe laughter is the best medicine, stop by the city’s comedy festival each summer called Just for Laughs. For something a bit more racy, check out the Grand Prix of Canada. It’s street-style Formula 1 racing at its best—held here in Montréal each June. Every August, tennis greats from around the globe gather in Montréal to compete on center court in the Rogers Cup. Our city shares this Canadian tradition with Toronto. Each December, the year ends on a high note with the Montréal High Lights Festival in the Old Port. It concludes with an all-night fun-filled event.

Montréal International Jazz Festival (Summer)

Let yourself be seduced by the sounds of jazz, the diversity of shows and the city itself. For two weeks each summer, the city swings with the energy of talented musicians from around the world at this Montréal event. Concerts range from free outdoor stages to concert halls and intimate venues at this event in Montréal.

Grand Prix of Canada (June)

Start your engines and get ready for the most-watched Formula 1 race in the world. F1 fever spreads throughout the city for this three-day Montréal sporting event. Crescent Street is closed to traffic to entertain visitors and showcase the most beautiful sports cars. The roar of the engines, the adrenaline rush, the excitement of the crowd… nothing compares to being there!

Just for Laughs Festival (Summer)

The world's biggest comedy festival has Montréal in stitches each and every summer. The sound of laughter fills the air as more than 700 international artists entertain in 1,500 performances. Choose from outdoor shows and comedy films, to one-man shows and improv.

Rogers Cup (August)

Our hotel provides easy access to the famous Rogers Cup Montréal tennis tournament held each August. Witness the skills of the best tennis players in the world as they compete on Canadian courts. The tournament alternates each year between Montréal and Toronto. In odd-numbered years the best women play here, while in even-numbered years Montréal hosts the men’s tournament.

Montréal High Lights Festival (December)

Experience the best Montréal has to offer, all wrapped up in one winter festival. The Montréal High Lights Festival celebrates the art, cuisine and beauty the city is known for. Discover the creativity of dance, music and theatre at one of the many performances held across the city. Indulge in tempting cuisine prepared by the world's best chefs and winemakers. Then bundle up for an outdoor celebration at the Old Port. The festival concludes with a fun-filled all-night event.
