Loews New Orleans Hotel celebrates 10 years with full year of fanfare
Hotel to hold prize giveaways, offer exclusive deals and more throughout 2014
NEW ORLEANS (January 21, 2014) – It may be the anniversary of giving tin, but Loews New Orleans Hotel is planning one gem of a year to celebrate its decade of hospitality in the Big Easy.
The 285-room hotel, which was converted in late 2003 from the Lykes Brothers Steamship Company office tower to its modern design mixing Creole, West Indies, Colonial French and Mississippi River influences, is ringing in 10 years in the Crescent City with a full year of events, deals and giving back to the local community.
“Celebrating 10 years of great business in New Orleans is really about celebrating our loyal guests, clients, followers and the local community for their support of our hotel, so we’re using this opportunity to say ‘thank you’ by making the year all about them” said David Bilbe, general manager of Loews New Orleans Hotel.
The hotel is kicking off the festivities with its 10 Days of Giveaways sweepstakes on Facebook. Starting January 22, fans can enter to win daily prizes such as Café Adelaide and Balance Spa gift certificates, cookbooks and other local goodies, plus the grand prize two-night stay at Loews New Orleans and dinner for two at Café Adelaide.
Travelers looking for a great deal can take advantage of several exclusive anniversary offers planned throughout the year including discounted rates, complimentary in-room amenities, unique travel packages and other perks. And, for groups and meetings, the hotel is offering 10 percent off the published price of all dinner menus for groups for 25 or more through 2014. Meeting and group planners can simply ask for the anniversary dinner special upon booking.
Amidst the celebration, the hotel also plans to refresh the look of its rooms. New bedding, carpeting, window treatments and select furnishings will be swapped out in 2014 to welcome the hotel into its next decade of business.
“This hotel has seen a lot in 10 years from its warm welcome to the city in 2004 to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 to New Orleans being named one of the top travel destinations in the world in 2013,” said Bilbe. “We’re proud and honored to be a part of this community and look forward to many more decades of providing authentic, uniquely local hospitality to locals and to visitors from all around the world.”
