Loews Atlanta Hotel targets baby boomers, empty nesters with Atlanta Bucket List package

Atlanta, GA. JULY 27, 2015

Midtown hotel launches new package featuring discounted rates and access to top attractions for flexible travelers

Baby boomers and empty nesters looking to scratch sought-after Atlanta travel experiences off their bucket list can now fulfill their dreams and save some serious cash doing it with the launch of Loews Atlanta Hotels’ new Atlanta Bucket List package.

Designed with the flexible traveler in mind, the package gives guests visiting on lower-occupancy days, such as Sunday nights, up to an extra 20 percent off already-attractive rates, plus access to some of the city’s most popular attractions on their least crowded days.

“With no school schedules or kid-related commitments to contend with, baby boomers and empty nesters have the advantage of more flexibility in their travel schedule,” said Mark Castriota, general manager of Loews Atlanta Hotel. “We wanted to reward this flexibility not only by offering deeply discounted rates on certain days of the week, but packaging it in a way that appeals directly to the travel experiences they seek out.”

For rates starting as low $199, the Atlanta Bucket List package includes:

  • Two-night stay in luxury accommodations
  • Two Atlanta City Passes
  • Two tickets to the Margaret Mitchell House & Museum
  • $10 gift card to The Varsity
  • Arrival amenity
  • Concierge assistance in setting up bucket list experiences around the city

To create the package, the hotel did its research, finding common themes among comments that baby boomers made in travel trend reports and to media. The words most commonly used to describe the travel that most appeals to them included: memorable, personalized, high-quality, active, genuine and customizable. In addition, travelers regularly noted the desire to cross things off their bucket list.

Consulting a variety of “must-see” lists, the hotel then curated a package that highlighted the most popular attractions and offered the greatest customizability to guests seeking to fulfill their own personal bucket lists.
