Saltwood Restaurant & Bar at Loews Atlanta Hotel Debuts New Spring Menu

Customizable Salad Experience “Harvest” Returns for Lunch

ATLATNA (March 14, 2023) - Restaurant Chef Travis Cox and Executive Pastry Chef Allison Poirier have reinvigorated the menu at Saltwood Restaurant & Bar inside Loews Atlanta Hotel with bold, flavorful dishes rooted in elevated southern cuisine. Additionally, Saltwood’s gourmet, customizable salad experience Harvest, featuring more than 80 ingredients, has returned for lunch every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

“The overall vision for the entire menu is to establish Saltwood as the best bar dining destination in Midtown,” explains Chef Cox. “The new bar entrées are rooted in southern cuisine with elevated, unexpected ingredients like our linguini topped with summer squash and a house-made whiskey sauce, fried chips topped with bison chili, and wings tossed in our unique sauces and dry rubs.”

The new menu items include: 

  • Duck leg confit – turnips, beluga lentils, roasted Cipollini onion, frisée, Roquefort sheep cheese, black garlic vinaigrette
  • Spring Salad – blueberries, toasted almonds, grilled peaches, drunken strawberries, watercress, raspberry vinaigrette
  • White Bean Chowder – tomato, Vidalia onion, celery salt, andouille sausage, oregano
  • Blue Crab Gazpacho – cucumber, pickled red onion, truffle oil
  • Seared Crab Cake – corn soubise, succotash, Nueske bacon
  • Wings – Choice of Peachtree Hot, black garlic Korean BBQ, honey BBQ glaze, lemon pepper, habanero, or Saltwood BBQ dry rub
  • Fried Chips – bison chili con carne, jalapeno, cheddar cheese sauce, chive sour cream
  • Wagyu Beef Siders - brioche, arugula, cheddar cheese, Tabasco mayo or Saltwood sauce
  • Vegetarian Pasta – Linguini, summer squash, sage, pecorino cheese, whiskey sauce
  • Grilled 10oz Pork Tomahawk Chop – Fiddlehead ferns, confit marble potatoes, herb drunken mustard
  • Buffalo Mac & Cheese – fried chicken breast, penne rigate pasta, apple cheddar chipotle sauce
  • 7oz Seared Salmon – petite vegetables, gnocchi, parsley cream

New desserts:

  • White Chocolate Panna Cotta: Brown butter streusel, blueberry-lime compote, passionfruit and pansies
  • Peach Crumble and Bourbon Ice Cream: Fresh peaches, brown sugar and brown-butter crumble, and Four Roses bourbon ice cream

New seasonal cocktail: 

  • Passionfruit Margarita: House-made jalapeño-infused Casa Migos, fresh passionfruit puree, classic triple sec and lime juice

Regarded as “... Midtown’s Best Kept Lunch Secret” by Atlanta Magazine in 2018, Harvest, the lunching favorite has returned and is available every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Guests have the options of more than 80 ingredients, including three proteins of poultry, beef and fish, leafy greens, fruits and vegetables, seeds and grains, locally-sourced oils, vinegars and cheeses, house-made dressings, and a variety of salts and spices. Dine-in includes the choice of lemonade, sweet or unsweet tea and a dessert for $18. Carry-out is $16.

Saltwood Restaurant is open for breakfast, daily, from 7 a.m. - 11 a.m., and for lunch from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Harvest, the personalized salad experience is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saltwood Bar & Lounge is open Sundays from 2 p.m. - 11 p.m. and Mondays through Saturdays from 2 p.m. - 12 a.m. Reservations are not required but can be arranged on Resy.com.
