Loews Hotels Invites Guests to Be Naughty or Nice with Sugar or Spice this Holiday Season

Hotels across the portfolio are spreading holiday cheer with hyper-local cocoa and cocktails

NEW YORK (November 18, 2019) – This holiday season Loews Hotels invites travelers to eat, drink, and be merry with Holiday Cocoa + Cocktails. Featuring creative spins on everyone’s favorite holiday libation, the limited-time treats will serve up sweet variations of cocoa for kids and creative cocoa-themed cocktails for adults. These specialty cocktails will be available at Loews Hotels across the country, beginning Sunday, December 1, 2019 through New Year’s Day. 

The season will be in full swing as each Loews address puts its own locally inspired twist on the holiday classic whether hot, cold or even frozen. Pricing on the cocktails will vary by destination, and the kid-friendly cocoa will be offered complimentary with the purchase of a “spiked” cocoa for adults.

To further sweeten the season, all specialty seasonal drink purchases will be served in a festive themed cup reading either “Sugar” (for kids) or “Spice” (for adults). There will also be special holiday-themed menus as accompaniment, with dishes and desserts perfect for pairing with cocoa – whatever the proof.

Here are some of the ways Loews properties will be serving the specialty cocoa cocktails:

  • “Miracle on 61st Street” – Settle into The Regency Bar & Grill or The Lobby Bar at Loews Regency New York and warm up with this stylish take on hot cocoa mixed with Grey Goose Vodka, walnut liqueur, whipped cream, and edible gold leaf.
  • “Southwest Spice & Everything Nice” – Saddle up and ride, or just slip into a seat and soar at Flying V Bar & Grill or Cascade Lounge at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort with a spicy blast of hot cocoa with Tequila Añejo, chili powder, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
  • “Getting Toasted” – Give your palate a warm greeting at ETA Restaurant + Bar at Loews Chicago Hotel with hot cocoa spiked with Malibu Rum, Frangelico Liqueur, and toasted coconut and marshmallows for necessary crunch.
  • “Inverno Bellissimo” Beautiful Winter – The weather outside may be frightful elsewhere, but the early days of winter will be beautiful in Orlando with this Italian-themed celebration of chocolaty goodness at Bice Ristorante and Bar American at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando™ mixed with a scoop of Mascarpone, Crème de Noyaux, Borghetti Espresso Liqueur, and more than a splash of half & half.
  • “Café con Cocoa” – One sip and you’ll be hooked on this frozen treat at Lure Fishbar and Bar Collins at Loews Miami Beach Hotel with this cocoa-themed concoction of Godiva white chocolate, Miami Club Rum, Miami Club Coffee Rum, and big scoop of chocolate Azucar Ice Cream topped with raspberries for seasonal color.
