Discover Hidden Gems
Explore midtown Atlanta by foot, bike, public transit, and more. From amazing food to outdoor attractions to sporting events there is much to see and do this summer. Here’s our guide to summer fun in Atlanta.
- Piedmont Park – Explore the lush green landscape of Midtown by spending the day at Piedmont Park. Located steps from Loews Atlanta Hotel, guests can enjoy a Farmer’s Market every Saturday morning at the 185-acre park, as well as festivals throughout the summer.
- Atlanta Botanical Garden – Enjoy year-round exhibits including the new Origami in the Garden, featuring massive origami-inspired sculpture. The Garden, located next to Piedmont Park, also has a dedicated children’s area, weekly family programming, and cocktail hours for adults too.
- The BeltLine – The Atlanta BeltLine offers 33 miles of walking and bike paths, connecting Midtown to Ponce City Market and Krog Street Market. A fantastic way to spend the day discovering the many restaurant and shopping of the area, in addition to enjoying the art and murals that line The BeltLine. Visitors can also hunt for five tiny doors that are part of the Tiny Doors ATL installation – immobile yet impermanent small doors to various sites along the BeltLine reflecting their neighborhood and surroundings, while encouraging exploration and wonder.
