Traditional Southern Public House Bar
Once upon a time, much of life here in the South was centered around the local Public House, a warm, inviting place where folks regularly dropped in for laughter, tall tales, good company—and some of the finest beverages known to mankind.
We are pleased to say that Mason Bar at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel is the modern interpretation of the beloved, traditional “Southern Public House”—and has become a hot Nashville destination for those in the know.
With its charming Mason-jar chandelier, drinks served in mason-jar glasses, nine-screen media wall—and what we like to call “pre-prohibition-style” drink recipes—Mason Bar epitomizes the modern-country vibe that is pulsing through Music City.
The only challenge you’ll have when you walk in the door is trying to decide what you want to drink. If it’s wine you’re after, we have a longlist of red, white and bubbly, and our list of beers, ales and lagers is just as varied. Or, if you’re in the mood for a craft cocktail, our bartenders can whip up anything from a gin and “homemade tonic” to a sorghum-syrup-sweetened “Mason Julep”—a concoction which is just about guaranteed to make you want to up and move to Nashville.
Of course, should you feel an appetite coming on, Mason Bar has re-invented bar food, with sinful delectables.
But don’t just take our word for it—check out the Mason Bar Food & Drink Menu for yourself.
