Q: What inspired you to become a Chef?
A: It started around the age of 16. A friend of my mom’s was at our house visiting and saw cooking in the kitchen. She quietly observed and noticed how much joy it brought me and eventually suggested I attend culinary school, which I did! And here we are today …

Q: If you weren’t a Chef, what is your dream job? What do you think you’d be doing right now?
A: A fighter pilot! Probably not the answer you were expecting! My dad was in the air force for 27 years and I also had a short 18 month stint in the air force as a cook. I was always intrigued and wondered what it would be like to be a fighter pilot. My second choice would be a Formula1 race car driver. I love to watch the races, especially Monaco because it’s through the city streets and not on a true racetrack. If both of those fall short, I’d be an undercover cop. I guess I like dangerous jobs!

Q: What is your favorite thing about being a Chef?
A: I can cook anything I want, whenever I want!

Q: What is your favorite thing about NYC?
A: They say NYC is unlike anywhere else in the world and it really is true. I can eat food from around the world here. And I really mean that you can have food from any country without leaving the city, you just have to know where to go for it.
