May I Marvel?

Each May, the Chinese Lantern Festival kicks off at Franklin Square. Whether it’s your first time visiting, or a tradition to visit every year, this festival always offers breathtaking sights and unique experiences. Surround yourself with seemingly endless lantern displays, and don’t miss the 200-foot long Chinese dragon (a staple of the festival!). Enjoy culturally-inspired cuisine, the Dragon Beer Garden, and performances involving plate-spinning and feet-juggling! 5/1–6/30

May I Indulge?

It’s a Philadelphia food tradition unlike any other. The South 9th Street Italian Market Festival combines spending hours outside in warm May weather, with eating some of the most delicious Italian cuisine the city can offer. This family-friendly two-day event also includes live music, arts and crafts and the always entertaining Grease Pole Climbing Competition. 5/18 & 5/19

May Philadelphia

May I Splurge?

Rittenhouse Row is home to some of the best shopping, dining and entertainment in the city, and this festival highlights just that. For one day only, the entire Rittenhouse neighborhood will be transformed into a street fest featuring its cafes, art, fashion, and music. This is the only time of year you will see the bustling Walnut Street closed to vehicular traffic. Wear comfy shoes, there’s a lot to see! 5/18

May I Cheer?

Philly has a reputation for being extremely passionate about its sports teams, so immerse yourself in our sports culture at a Philadelphia Phillies game. Even if you’re not a fan (ahem), there’s nothing quite like our ballpark situated with the city backdrop, Chickie’s fries (crab fries with a side of melted cheese, just trust us), and a spring night to sit back and be entertained by the team itself and the fans surrounding you. Check out the schedule to see if we’re playing your favorite team at our home base this May, or throughout the season.
