A Beach Bar is Always a Good Idea

What's new in Santa Monica? Here's the latest from our perfect slice of paradise...

A Cake Made To Look Like A Cup

For the Guest On the Go…

When it comes to vacations, we know a little poolside assistance can go a long way. We’re talking, of course, about cocktails. That’s why we’ve reinvented our ice cream and candy shop as a new hub for a beachy beverage. We hope you'll stop by on your next visit to Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel and try it out with a well-deserved pick-me-up.

Our new bar is designed to enhance your vacay vibes. Ideal for the guest on the go, the walk-up bar is the perfect place to grab a quick cocktail and be on your way. We’ve even got a TV so you can stay up-to-date on all your team scores before heading back to the pool or out on the town. Beach Bar is open 10 AM–6 PM, giving you ample time to sample our line-up of contemporary cocktails.

Like the Just Mai Type (a Mai Tai meets spicy margarita), with tasty ingredients like habanero pineapple hot sauce, Orgeat, and Montenegro.

Or, if sophistication is more your speed, you might prefer the Surf & Tonic, which offers bright citrus and floral flavors in a smooth porch-time classic.

Summer Fun Out & About

Looking for some Santa Monica plans beyond the pool this summer? You may want to hit up the Pier 360 Ocean Sports & Beach Festival on June 23rd and 24th to get into the swing of the season. There will be epic competition through a variety of disciplines on land and sea and plenty of entertainment for all ages. If you’re not ready to compete, you can enjoy the Beach Festival featuring live music, Polynesian dancing, food and a Beer & Spirits Garden.

Aiming to stay more low-key? Santa Monica offers some great retail therapy at Santa Monica Place, which hosts upscale retailers such as Louis Vuitton and Hugo Boss.

For our active guests, we suggest seeing the city on two wheels. You can borrow bikes from our bike shop and indulge in a tour, or go on your own on the bike-friendly boardwalk.

Whatever your speed, there’s no shortage of things to get up to — so get to it!
