Boston

As the winter slowly progresses, it can be harder for couples to find fun cold-weather activities that they haven’t already tried over the season. However, with a little creativity and a whole lot of love, finding date night ideas in Boston can be as easy as a walk on the beach. (Sorry to dangle that vision of the summer before you when it’s still some months off!)

Finding the perfect romantic activity has a lot to do with a couple’s personality (and that couple’s individual personalities). Which is why we’ve broken down our suggestions into the following different segments.

The Museum Lovers

For our art- and literature-loving couples, what better way to spend time together than a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts? Explore the 51,338-square-foot building and 53 galleries and enjoy the wonder of exhibits, artwork, and antiques dating back to 6500 BC. The Museum also includes multiple quick bite spots (with alcohol available for purchase) and a gift shop for those surprise special purchases. The Museum also offers Adult Art classes for all levels.

The Chefs

There’s something about learning to cook with your loved one that creates a special memory. Eataly, located in the Prudential Center, offers monthly cooking, wine tasting and pairing classes. All geared towards Italian flavors, Eataly’s lineup of classes will satisfy any culinary-inclined couple. After the cooking class is over, make sure to leave time for browsing or shopping for authentic meats, cheese, and even kitchenware.

The Wine & Diners

For the couple who simply loves to enjoy a nice glass of wine with tasty apps and a delicious meal, Loews Boston‘s Precinct Kitchen + Bar is always a great choice. During the month of March, Precinct is taking part in Dine Out Boston — so visitors can sample our restaurant at a special pre-fix menu price, no passes required (reservations are, however, encouraged). With a location right in the heart of Back Bay, Precinct Kitchen + Bar is a convenient walk from Newbury Street, Boston Commons and Copley Square. After a long day of exploring the city, it’s a great place to savor local seafood and enjoy our cozy atmosphere with service from friendly staff.
