The holiday season may be behind us, but winter is here in full force. That doesn’t have to mean hibernating for days on end, though. Grab your friends and family, take a day off and have some fun in the snow! Here’s where you can find wintery fun in and around Boston.

The Boston Common Frog Pond

Located right in the heart of the United States oldest public park, the Boston Common Frog Pond is a great spot to bring children to skate. It’s also fun for just catching up with friends on an afternoon escape. Here, you can rent skates for any age and enjoy hot cocoa at the Pond Cottage. Make sure to bundle up if you decide to wander the park.

Boston Winter Holiday Market

Open to the public seven days a week through February, “Boston Winter Presented by Berkshire Bank” features a mix of winter activities, including a unique outdoor skating path, and a range of hospitality experiences. Attractions this year include a Bavarian Village and Vinopolis, an interactive wine and beer experience.

Precinct Kitchen + Bar Pop-Up Bar

And finally, fans can get their Game of Thrones fix with an authentic experience at the Game of Thrones Pop Up at Precinct on the patio complete with wearable furs, authentic décor, and limited edition themed drinks.  Perfect for a snowy afternoon!

The pop-up bar will open to the public on Tuesday, January 9 at 4 PM with service throughout the entire month of January from 4–11 PM nightly.
