Orlando

Guest post by Loretta Love, Sales Manager at Universal Orlando Resort

When Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort came on the scene, with a whopping 1,800 guest rooms, our sales team wondered how on earth we were going to sell this many rooms in addition to our existing 2,400 on-site rooms at the on-site deluxe hotels. Well, it turns out Cabana Bay is one hotel everyone has been waiting for! The demand has been incredibly high, and it’s only increasing. Our group sizes are continuously growing. Why, you ask? Well, here are three reasons…all perfect reasons for considering Cabana Bay as an option for large groups to visit.

An Attraction Unto Itself

Clients who are used to bringing student groups to Orlando and keeping them busy with everything Orlando has to offer – think theme parks, shopping, more theme parks, more shopping – start at 8:00 am and sometimes don’t return to the hotel until 11:00 pm … and then drop. These clients have realized once they come to Cabana Bay, they have to STOP for a day and let the students spend time at the hotel to enjoy all of the amenities it has to offer (at the request of the students, no less). Two pools, a lazy river, bowling alley (more on that later), arcade, poolside movies and more – that’s enough to take up an entire day and beyond!

Destination Has So Much To Offer

Our clients are building their student packages around Harry Potter, youth parties at The Groove at Universal CityWalk, dress-up parties at Loews Royal Pacific Resort, and pizza parties right here at Cabana Bay! Universal Orlando Resort as a destination has everything to offer to keep groups on-site. And everything is within walking distance. Which means much less time sitting on a motorcoach going to the next place (no fun!).

Getting Your Bowl On

Remember when we mentioned a bowling alley earlier? Well, Galaxy Bowl is quite a draw, too. Clients are now adding “champion bowling competitions.” It’s amazing how fun Cabana Bay has made it clients with large groups – no more boring routine trips! They can have fun creating unique fun events right here at the hotel and destination. Galaxy Bowl is a 10-lane full service bowling experience themed from the 1950s, but offering today’s entertainment technology. There’s even a full-service restaurant that comes in quite handy for before, during, or after those epic bowling competitions.

Universal Orlando?s fourth on-site hotel, Universal?s Cabana Bay Beach Resort is now open! The retro-inspired hotel features incredible amenities for endless family fun including a 10,000 sq. ft. zero-entry pool with iconic dive tower waterslide, 10-lane bowling alley, the Jack LaLanne Physical Fitness Studio, family suites that sleep up to six and much more. This summer, guests will be able to enjoy even more family fun, including a second 8,000-square-foot zero entry pool, Universal Orlando?s first lazy river at an on-site hotel, The Hideaway Bar & Grill, and additional moderately-priced family suites and value-priced standard guest rooms. © Universal Orlando Resort.
