Washington, D.C.

Stroll the streets of Washington, D.C. right now, and there’s no mistaking the city has come alive. The periodically cool and rainy days of spring are past and the restaurant patios are packed.  It’s summer!   It’s also Pride month in the city, and we think it’s one of the most festive and ideal times to enjoy our Nation’s Capital.

May 30 through June 8, 2014, marks the official celebration hosted by Capital Pride, the non-profit organization serving the needs of the LGBTA community and its partners.  An important part of their outreach and dedication to celebrating diversity includes the annual Capital Pride Parade (Saturday, June 7) and the Capital Friday Festival (Sunday, June 8).
