New York City

There is no place we’d rather holiday shop than New York City.  As millions make the annual shopping pilgrimage to the Big Apple in December, their sights are set on unique gifts.  Here are a few of our favorite spots to shop for the dearly beloved on our holiday list.

Gifts for Her

Fishs Eddy, 889 Broadway.  Unique kitchen-related items with a throwback feel.

Sabon, 782 Lexington Avenue.  Perfect for those who deserve a little extra pampering this holiday.

Henri Bendel, 712 Fifth Avenue. Accessories fit for your friends who were trending well before Twitter’s inception.  Not to mention the fact that the brown and white packaging alone is enough to make us squeal in delight.

Gifts for Him

Eataly, 200 Fifth Avenue.  If you win over a man through his stomach, this is your one-stop-shop.  The popular Italian market is the spot for authentic ingredients, fresh pasta, and must-have kitchen gadgets.

MoMA’s Gift Shop, 11 West 53rd Street.  We could spend hours admiring the unique gift collection that MoMA curates.  We recommend shopping here for those who seem to have it all.

Gifts for Kids

FAO Schwarz, Lego Store, and American Girl.  If you are visiting New York with children, there is little chance you will be willing or able to escape this toy trifecta.

Lee’s Art Shop, 220 West 57th Street.  Don’t be deterred by the jam-packed store—head straight to the top floor to find a wide array of children’s toys, games, and books.

American Museum of Natural History Gift Shop, Central Park West at 79th Street.  Find fun and educational gifts for the dino-lovers in your life.

The Corner Bookstore, 1313 Madison Avenue.  Off the beaten path, but well worth the subway ride to enjoy the 93rd Street staple.

Gifts for Man’s Best Friend

Canine Styles, 830 Lexington Avenue.  New York City is the fashion capital of the world and Big Apple dogs are no exception to the rule.  From designer duds and accessories to scrumptious treats, Canine Styles gifts will add a little  swagger to your pooch’s stride.

Gifts for your Colleagues

Treat House, 452 Amsterdam Avenue.  Endless tasty variations of the old-fashioned rice krispies treat.

Ladurée, 864 Madison Avenue.  Not even the sugar plum fairy could resist the French macaroons at this sweet Madison Avenue shop.

Stocking Stuffers

The Container Store, 725 Lexington Avenue.  For those who want to ensure stocking stuffers are not only fun, but useful, too.

Dylan’s Candy Bar, 1011 Third Avenue.  If the candy exists, you will find it at Dylan’s.  From nostalgic and tried-and-true to cheeky, this three-story candyland will satiate your sweet tooth and then some.

Happy Shopping!
