Love All, Serve All. Take Time to Be Kind. These mottos are at the heart of Hard Rock, a brand known around the world for music, memorabilia and philanthropy. When fall rolls around every year, we get excited for one of Hard Rock’s major philanthropic programs – PINKTOBER. The campaign is focused on breast cancer research and awareness. Get this: Every Hard Rock Hotel, Café and Casino around the world (that’s 203 venues in 64 countries, by the way!) celebrates PINKTOBER with concerts, fundraisers or other activities to support the cause.

Here in Orlando, Bret Michaels returned for a fourth year to perform at Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando’s Velvet Sessions. A passionate supporter of Hard Rock and the annual PINKTOBER campaign, Bret embraces the cause wholeheartedly and even takes time before the show to meet survivors and volunteers from a local breast cancer support group. This year, the evening’s silent auction proceeds were donated to Martha’s Angels, a Central Florida non-profit group that offers financial and emotional assistance to those currently in treatment for breast cancer.

But PINKTOBER goes beyond events and concerts. Throughout the month, every Hard Rock Hotel outfits a select number of their guest rooms in pink sheets. Every night these rooms are occupied during October, the hotel donates 25% of the room rate to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. So, if you’re planning to stay at a Hard Rock Hotel during October, ask if a pink sheets room is available. And remember, it’s the hotel that makes the donation to BCRF. Plus, there’s special merchandise to support the cause. A PINKTOBER collector’s edition pin set, T-shirts, bathrobes and pink sheets are all available to purchase, with a portion of sales going directly to the cause.

As we gear up to kick off another PINKTOBER, we hope you’ll help us share the message by using #PINKTOBER in social media. Whether you’re sharing photos from a PINKTOBER event or you just want to show us how you support the cause in your daily life, we look forward to having our guests join us to support this and other causes around the world. It’s not just about the words, it’s about putting into practice the mission to Love All. Serve All.
