Greetings from The Grove

If you follow the latest in pop culture, you're bound to have heard of The Grove. It's LA's upscale outdoor mall that's brimming with brand-name shopping, colorful flowers, and, often enough, a celebrity or two. Whether you actually have some shopping to do or just a few hours to kill, here are a few of our favorite reasons to visit The Grove.

A Bunch Of Food Is On Display

Ladurée Pastry Case

Ladurée

J'adore les pâtisseries! I'm guilty of having a crazy sweet tooth so there was no way I wasn't going to try Ladurée. From the moment you walk in, you're hit smack dab in the face with colorful confections and the smell of sugar. Kid in a candy store? For me, it's more like girl in a pastry shop! I could've stayed there for hours to try them all, but on a warm summer day in LA the macaron ice cream sandwiches were calling my name. I was feeling very girly and Parisian, so I opted for the pink strawberry flavor. C'est bon!

A Piece Of Cake On A Plate

Dominique Ansel's Cronut

Dominique Ansel Bakery

Don't underestimate the power of the Cronut! Yes, the mythical cronut originally created by French pastry chef Dominique Ansel in NYC. It was only a matter of time until this piece of pastry perfection landed in LA and its new home at The Grove. While you're bound to find yourself in a line just to see this beauty, trust me when I say it's well worth it. There's only one flavor available each month... we'll save you a spot in line!

A Bus That Is Parked On The Side Of A Building

The Grove Trolley

Atmosphere

There's something quaint about The Grove that I just can't get enough of; the flowers, the fountain, the food! It's unlike anything else I've come across in LA and completely its own unique environment. There's even a trolley that will shuttle you around the entire mall! Throw in the steady sunshine and cool breeze and The Grove may just be my new favorite hangout/outdoor office!
