San Diego received some well-need rainfall this winter. As a result, there's super bloom happening everywhere! One of the best places to experience this phenomenon is at the Carlsbad Flower Fields. Located in North County San Diego near LegoLand, this 50-acre garden is a paradise for flower lovers. With group tours, wagon rides, and other family-friendly activities. Afterwards, head over to the Carlsbad Outlets for a spring wardrobe refresh; you'll find great deals on high-end brand names.

This historic cultural hub is home to incredible architecture, beautiful walkways and gardens, delicious restaurants and plenty of museums and theaters. Oh, and the world-famous San Diego Zoo is located here too. It's the perfect place for a family outing, a romantic stroll or just a place to sit and experience nature. Oftentimes during the weekends, there will be buskers and other street-performers scattered throughout the park so there's always something new to see. This may be my favorite place in the city and FUN FACT: it's larger than New York's Central Park!

San Diego is home to some of the finest food in the country. Farmer's markets happen pretty much every day so you have access to a wonderful assortment of organic produce and unique eats all the time. We're right next to the ocean so the seafood is super fresh too. Liberty Station Public Market is one of those places that combines all the best into one location. Local artisans, bakers, and butchers set up shop while you browse their goods looking for something (or multiple somethings) that catches your appetite. Best of all, you can sip on one of San Diego's craft brews as you cruise through the market.

Loews Coronado Bay Resort just underwent a large renovation of our poolside eatery La Cantina. This Baja-inspired Mexican bar features 10 types of tacos, scratch-made salsas, and over 50 types of tequilas... sounds like spring break right? My favorite dish is the homemade churros — sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and served with a chocolate sauce!

Get in touch with nature by taking a hike with a view: Torrey Pines Reserve is a popular hike that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Coastal wilderness and clear blue skies await nature-lovers at this 1,750-acre region, with eight miles of trails available on five different hikes. Parking is ample and there's a visitor's center where you can stop and pick up maps and guides.

It's a quaint town filled with shops, restaurants, parks, and miles of sandy beaches — so it's the perfect area to casually bike around town.
