Tucson

You’ve got the ring. Now it’s time to celebrate with your most trusted group of friends. Not only is Tucson an incredible choice for a destination wedding — with year-round warm weather and sunny skies — but it was tailor made for a girls’ bachelorette weekend. Whether you’re taking a group stay-cation, a quick trip from Phoenix, or a journey from the other side of the country, Loews Ventana Canyon Resort is the perfect place to party with your besties.

Prickly Pear Macarons really complete the “Final Fiesta” theme!

Theme

Every good party deserves a theme and is there a more perfect place to celebrate a “Final Fiesta?” Invite your crew to dive in to the southwestern culture of Tucson with papel picado flags, sombreros, pinatas, margaritas and cactus balloons. Tie it all together with adorable signs like “senorita no mas”, “adios to being single” and “margaritas made me do it.” Pack a wireless speaker and put on a spicy playlist to get the party started. The Canyon Suite is an ideal room for your fiesta, with enough space to celebrate in style and a connected bedroom where the bride can relax.

“Final Fiesta” Bachelorette Weekend Welcome Bags

Welcome to the Desert

Welcome the girls in style with a welcome bag worthy of the weekend ahead. Like these adorable “Fiesta Siesta Tequila Repeat” tote bags from a recent bachelorette trip. They were filled with everything the girls needed for a memorable weekend; water (to stay hydrated… it’s the desert after all), flip flops (for poolside lounging), cactus hair ties (“to have and hold your hair back”), a mini-margarita (to kick the weekend off), personalized plastic cups for the bride tribe, and sweet snacks to keep energies running high.

Cheers to the bride-to-be!

Dinner + Drinks

You’ll definitely want to splurge with the best food and drinks Tucson has to offer and lucky for us you’ll only have to walk across the parking lot to the Flying V Bar & Grill, known throughout the city for our famous table-side guacamole! Make a reservation for your group of girls and enjoy a bottle of your bride’s favorite wine or a round of margaritas as the sun sets over the 18th green. Menus change seasonally but you’ll always find favorites like the Baby Back Ribs, Flying V Burger, and Ahi Tuna available. And don’t even consider skipping dessert! Pastry Chef Krista Owen’s skills with sweets are mind-blowing and always worth the extra *few* calories.

Bride Squad in the house!

Poolside Recovery

Trust me when I say when Day 2 rolls around you’ll want a break from the high-energy action. Grab a cup of coffee and a pasty from the Vista Barista, enjoy an easy stroll up to the 80-foot natural waterfall and then park your crew poolside for some rest and relaxation. Luckily for us, year-round warm weather means year-round pool lounging. Take a dip in our heated pool, lay out to catch a Tucson tan, and if you’re brave enough (or persuasive enough) you’ll all hit the cold plunge to help cure those morning-after hangovers!

Blues Brews & BBQ Brunch Desserts

But First, Brunch

Raise your mimosas and toast the bride-to-be. No girls’ weekend getaway would be complete without experiencing our award-winning Blues, Brews & BBQ Brunch. As indulgent as the weekend may have been, be sure to save room for these sprawling food stations. Start with your classic breakfast options like waffles, pastries and omelettes, then follow the smell of open-fire barbecue to the main attractions: Brisket, ribs, mac and cheese, jalapeno cornbread… and oh, the grilled veggies! It’s also near impossible to pass up the wall of desserts. I’m a sucker for a churro and a chocolate fountain, myself. There’s no reason you can’t have both…
