Resting in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains in sunny Tucson, Arizona, Loews Ventana Canyon is a popular destination for groups to experience the desert southwest. Combining the tranquility of the resort and rich heritage of the region, group attendees enjoy getting outdoors to take in all that Tucson has to offer during their meetings. Destination Services Manager, Stephanie Paynter, is an expert when it comes to helping groups create memorable and uniquely local events, and shares her Top 3 Most Unique Meeting Venues.

Coyote Corral

Steps away from the resort, the Coyote Corral recreates the flavor of Tucson in its Old West heyday!  Imagine yourself walking down a dusty street, hearing the sounds from the local saloon, the bar gals, the gunfire and the laughter. Gaze in awe at the countless stars in the night sky, try your hand at Electronic Quickdraw or ride the Mechanical Bull while your dinner is prepared on the open mesquite wood fire grill. To complete the event, the Coyote Corral includes a built-in band shell for one of Tucson’s finest Country-Western bands or a hysterically entertaining Wild West Review. Yee-haw!

Upper Terrace

Situated among the mesquite trees, the Upper Terrace is a breathtaking venue that allows guests to experience the natural beauty of the Sonoran Desert without having to leave the resort! By day, the venue offers views of the natural 80-foot waterfall in the distance, and by night the trees glisten with hanging lights to create a serene outdoor experience for those looking to get away from the board room. This cozy spot embraces our desert surroundings and is an elegant space for any event.

Kiva Patio

If you’re looking for a space able to transform into anything, then the Kiva Patio is your spot! The Kiva Ballroom and its adjoining patio are located down the hill from the resort and are surrounded by our championship golf courses. Not only does the Kiva Patio provide an excellent view of the Catalina Mountains, but with themes like our Native Spirits Decor it offers the perfect ambiance for guests to experience and exchange the cultural uniqueness of the natives who called the Southwest home for centuries.
