Tucson

The holidays have come and gone, so now it’s time to shed the stress that inevitably comes with them. Here are a few simple ways to reclaim your inner zen and head into the New Year with a clear mind at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort!

Canyon Course Hole #8

Seeing Green

People may envision the desert to be a dry land covered in tumbleweeds, but it’s actually quite the opposite! The Sonoran Desert is a colorful place with countless different types of indigenous plants. And, of course, it is a highly sought-after destination for golfers. Our year-round sunny skies and warm weather create ideal conditions for a day on the green and luckily for us Loews Ventana Canyon Resort is home to two Tom Fazio-designed championship golf courses. Grab a cup of coffee from the Vista Barista and then head out onto the course for a day of relaxing yet challenging round of golf!

Lakeside Spa’s Sedona Sacred Clay Treatment

Say Spaaaaa

If you’re anything like me, a day of relaxation definitely calls for some pampering at the spa. While Dad enjoys his day on the green, Mom can take in a day of relaxation at the Lakeside Spa with her choice of treatments like classic mani/pedis, facials, reflexology, massages, and even body wraps. Afterwards you can make the most of the day by enjoying the Adult Serenity Pool and ordering a healthy lunch from the resort. The pampering doesn’t have to end when you leave; stop by the retail shop inside the spa and create your own relaxation kit at our DIY Bath Bar, where you can choose from a selection of homemade dried herbs and flowers to bring the spa home!

Star Light, Star Bright

Did you know that Tucson is regarded as one of the best places in the world for stargazing? Our clear skies and warm temperatures creates the perfect opportunity for studying the sky. What could be more relaxing than ending the day with a personal stargazing session with a professional astronomer? We’ve teamed up with the UA Mt. Lemmon SkyCenter to provide complimentary stargazing to our guests twice a week with our very own telescope, and it’s become a favorite activity for our visitors. Learn about the constellations, gaze at the planets that are in view, and explore the mysteries that make our galaxy so interesting. Stargazing is available year-round — call the concierge to find out which days it’s offered during your stay depending on the time of year.

See you next year with more Tucson travel tips!
