What’s the best part? You can have it all without ever taking a step off property.
Boston Harbor Distillery
After 25 years of bringing local craft beer to the forefront, founder Rhonda Kallman switched to fine spirits. And Boston loved it. Her company, Boston Harbor Distillery, is the go-to for local whiskey, rum, cream liqueur, and more. Her distillery building is as notable as the spirits; it’s an 1859 Dorchester gem that’s one of the last remaining mill buildings in the area. Many of the distillery’s creations, such as Putnam New England Rye Whiskey, are named for former occupants of the building (in this case, Civil War horseshoe manufacturer Silas Putnam). Sip a custom cocktail developed by Boston Harbor Distillery especially for Loews at Precinct Kitchen & Bar.
You’ve never had a snack fix like this. Imagine: bananas foster almonds, cayenne mango cashews, and Mexican chocolate pecans. That’s just the start of the nut varieties this local roaster is known for. The family-owned company has two local storefronts and one simple, heartfelt philosophy: It’s all about wholesome ingredients and passion. Q’s original recipes are vegan as well as gluten, soy, and dairy-free; and use raw organic sugar and chocolate, pure spices, and natural flavors. Taste them in the combo board (also featuring Vermont cheeses, charcuterie, and jams) right here at Precinct Kitchen & Bar.
Little G's Ice Cream
Handmade locally, Little G is the work of teenage owner/founder Grace Conner, who was motivated by the cream parlor she frequented on Nantucket and became a gifted ice cream maker at the young age of just eight years old. In January 2016, she walked through a snowstorm to deliver her first batch of Little G to a specialty grocer in Boston’s South End, which sold out in a week! Guests can enjoy these delicious creations in pint-sized form at the hotel’s Sundry Shop.
