When I travel, I want to see sights, I want to experience the culture, but more than anything, I want to eat all of the food. Lucky for me, most Loews Hotels are in awesome foodie cities, especially Loews Hotel 1000 Seattle. There are so many incredible restaurants, and I want to try every single one (I haven’t achieved this yet, but my goal is set). Seriously, I have a rule when I travel that I never go to the same place twice. The three restaurants on this list may be exceptions to that proclamation. All of these spots are within walking distance of Hotel 1000, making them prime spots to check out during your trip to Seattle.

Heartwood Provisions

First on the list is Heartwood Provisions. This spot is literally one block from Loews Hotel 1000, so the location is prime. But their food and drinks really steal the show. Each dish is carefully paired with a thoughtful cocktail, and they are on point. The roasted scallops paired with a fantastic rum drink were exquisite, and the Wagyu beef short rib (paired with a different, but equally pleasing, rum beverage) blew us away. As I said before, I will be back, as the king salmon is already calling my name.

Il Terrazzo Carmine

Next up on the list is Il Terrazzo Carmine. This classic Italian restaurant is in the heart of Pioneer Square, and draws its inspirations from the city of Naples, Italy. The dinner menu is robust, with exceptional choices of starters (or Antipasti if you’re extra fancy and from Italy, unlike myself), one of my favorites is the Burrata, and if you’re a seafood fan, you must try the Gamberoni Provinciale. The mushrooms make this dish irresistible. It’s no secret that I’m a pasta fan, and I love an “of the moment” dish; the risotto of the day was revolutionary. It changes daily, so be sure to ask when you’re there!

Matt’s in the Market

The final favorite is Matt’s in the Market, a clear no-brainer if you’ve ever visited Seattle. Located smack-dab in the middle of world famous Pike Place Market, this truly Pacific Northwest-style restaurant will win you over as soon as you walk in the door. With the best market in Washington out their front door, all of their menus are based on what is the freshest right now. This one is a must-try for any true foodies, with a rotating Market Fish that defines “Market Fish.” The New York Strip was exceptional, and dessert did not disappoint with an incredibly interesting Apple “Pie.” To call it a pie would be an undersell, this apple cake has an apple mousse and a walnut crunch, and is topped with blood orange, and bacon powder (yes, we said bacon powder, wow!)

With all three locations just steps from Loews Hotel 1000, your foodie adventure is just a stone’s throw away. Seattle has so much to offer your taste buds. Show us your favorite Seattle stops using the hashtag #LoewsHotel1000 and be sure to tag us on Instagram with @Hotel1000!
