LA Marathon

The world-class “Stadium to the Sea” course debuted in 2010 and marked the first time the race had extended beyond the City of Los Angeles’ boundaries. In so doing, it created a unique partnership among four cities—Los Angeles, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica—and the federal government at the Veterans’ Administration property in West Los Angeles. Held every March, the LA Marathon is a world-class running event. More info

Twilight Concert Series

For over 30 years, the Santa Monica Pier has delighted concertgoers every summer with its annual Twilight Concert Series. These free musical performances occur Thursday nights and welcome anyone who wants to take in the music from the Pier or the beach below.

Santa Monica 4th of July Parade

A celebration of everything Santa Monica. Spectators line Santa Monica’s famous Main Street each 4th of July to watch entertaining parade participants representing everything from community groups and public safety officers to innovative floats complete with live music and acrobatics.

Shakespeare Santa Monica

Santa Monica joins other great cities in the world that offer free theatre to its residents as well as to the surrounding communities and visitors. At the end of every summer, this theatre company convenes “to educate and enrich through the medium of Shakespeare.”

Annual Santa Monica Pub Crawl

Win prizes and contests while participating in this popular holiday season event. Buying a ticket to participate in the Crawl enables you to receive drink and food specials at some of the city’s best bars and restaurants while also raising money for those in need through a partnership with Westside Food Bank. Come in holiday attire and help the Westside Food Bank to feed the less fortunate over the holidays.

Santa Monica Festival

This annual festival is free of charge and invites the public to “connect, create and celebrate” through various activities that reflect the city. The festival includes music and dance performances, art and cooking workshops, food trucks and fitness classes.
