The Real Foodie Secret at Universal Orlando Isn't Inside the Parks

When most people think about staying at a Universal Orlando resort, they usually think about the theme parks first. The hotels are often viewed as a place to sleep between park days. After spending a day tasting food at three different Loews Hotels properties during a recent Universal Orlando media event, I can confidently say that's selling these resorts short. The food alone is reason enough to visit.

Loews Hotels co-owns and operates all 11 hotels at Universal Orlando Resort, and one thing I immediately noticed is how different each property feels. Every hotel has its own distinct theme, atmosphere, and dining style. Throughout the day, we visited Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, and the new Universal Helios Grand Hotel. While each experience was completely different, they all had one thing in common: the food was genuinely impressive.
